ABSTRACT:
Periodontal diseases, which are characterised by inflammation, microbial infection, and the progressive degradation of the teeth's supporting components, are among the most common conditions affecting oral health. Conventional therapy often uses synthetic antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medications, which may have detrimental long-term effects. Clove oil's potent antibacterial, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties are mostly due to its active component, which is extracted from Syzygium aromaticum. In order to lessen the pain and suffering brought on by tooth pain, this study aims to develop dental gel that incorporates aloe vera gel and clove oil. Because of its wide range of antibacterial action against various periodontal infections, it is used to treat periodontitis. All racial, ethnic, gender, and socioeconomic backgrounds are impacted by periodontal disease, which is recognised as one of the major global public health concerns. Aloe vera is a succulent plant that has been used for years in traditional medicine due to its healing properties. Its well-known anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and wound-healing properties make it a prominent ingredient in many health and cosmetic products.
